Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

That is good news. attend the meeting. I will be there anyway.
thank you
I would not trust them either

Opa, YOU ARE A GOOD FRIEND, I know it means a lot to him. The world needs may nore people like you

I agree with Silly about the hen that is mean, don't pass her on, however are you sure the other hen is not sick,,, other flockmates will attack a sick hen even though you don't notice , they see it sooner

Love the pics of the kids on holloween, especialy the laundry basket, how creative!!

Mara, pumpkins were very cool.

Note about the seeds... While they and other squash seeds of the same family are beneficial, they do not kill off all types of worms. Worms such as the gape are unaffected.

Tsetse, my mother just had both upper and lower GI done because of stomach pains. Before the procedure for the upper, they had her stop certain meds and vitamins for 5 days prior. Hey found nothing. However, when she restarted the antacid, she immediately started having the pains again. She quit taking them, and has not had stabbing pains since. Just a thought.

York.. Very sorry for the losses.

Welcome home MiChickens.

Opa, you are blessed and you've shared that with so many. I wish you were closer so that my boys could know you and see what a man should grow into.

To everyone who has had, or is having surgery.

I have had several over the past year, and at the time I was really hurting - this getting old bit sucks. But, thanks to some great doctors, I have recovered much use that I thought was gone forever. I really hope that the surgeries you all are going through turn out as well as mine have. I'm still old, but now functional!

Tonight I'm lighting candles for all my friends here!

One of my meyer chicks is laying. Its a brown medium egg. I figure I can rule out the lt brahma and white jersey giants, which leaves a sumatra or one of the appenzellers. Anyone have a clue which it could be?

For all those friends that were interested. Still have a ton of landscaping to do. Probably bring in 12 yards of composted cow manure and spread around the perimeter and spread clover seed. As the goats get cleaned I spread the bedding around as cover. My neighbor across the road called me last night and reminded me he was picking up 4 new cows from the guy down the street that's going out of the business. He said there was one other 1200 lb cow that needed a home. I laughed pretty hard (I think he probably thinks I'm nuts now). I just took 20 meat birds to the Amish yesterday and was relieved of that burden. I think I'll pass on a cow for now. I'd rather get a heifer in the next few years...So Hillbilly, Farmerboy, Chickflick, and a few others here it is all done on the outside.
