Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

May be mold then. That sucks. Or the vibe. Either way the gut knows. :( i'm sorry you lost them. My first flock got taken out by coons. They hunt in packs when teaching the babies....only thing i had left was my lonely roo for months. (And the camper coop idea)

Does anyone have bantam partridge wyandottes? I have 2, 7 month old roosters and would like to trade one for an unrelated one.

What is a good idea for a dust bath when I have a tractor coop? I plan on putting up temporary fencing every time I move the coop, so they can part-time free range. Could I fill a baby pool with dirt for dust baths? Has anyone else done this?

A large plastic dishpan would be large enough and be much easier to deal with when moving your tractor.

Hello, I have been trying for a few months to re home my laying hens and the weather has conspired against me. I had 5, and one passed due to the cold. I need to find a proper home for them where they can do what they do best....lay gorgeous eggs!
I have 2 Americana and 2 Gold Crested Polish. They have become very attached to each other since our Mamma Hen passed, so they need to go together and stay together.

I live in Garden City, about 6 miles north of 94 & 6 miles west of 275. I can meet you or bring them to you, but I need to know they are safe and warm.

Sorry to hear of all the ER visits and accidents! No making sense of laws and who profits as a "victim" unfortunately.

Congrat's Silly, I am waiting to see the "one year" here if they do that sort of thing

.

LadyR, love the color pallet of eggs! Hope we can think of something to trade as DH on a whim decided we needed an incubator yesterday afternoon

. We have seafoam green EE colors right now. We are waiting for our Ameraucana to start laying those pretty blue ones, but so far nothing

. We are near Lansing so able to get to the West side easy for hatching egg trades. We are looking to add a couple/three Maran's for those dark brown eggs to our colors...hatching eggs most likely.

I am not good at responding to all, but know you are in my thoughts. I transcript court sessions for another state, and not sure what is better - no fault, or being able to sue and have lawyers rake in the big bucks.
