Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

OK, not sure where you are.... but here you go... http://grandrapids.craigslist.org/for/4410053687.html I would love to pick up a few for my goats too..

Oh nice!

Wayland area here. Where about are you? How many are you thinking? I see 6 there. Maybe we can strike a deal with him for multiple spools. Hmm, Sand lake though (45-50m drive for me)... darn gas prices. Dibs on the jumbo.

I am planning on moving the larger chicks outside this weekend. They're 7 weeks and time for them to go.

I'm thinking our goats would love a big wooden spool, or one of those outdoor wooden play-sets to climb all over. I've been looking through Craigslist occasionally for the last couple of years, but have never found "the awesome deal on that" for it. & by that I mean practically free. Ha! I did find a giant tractor tire that we could bury 1/2 way into the ground for them... but thought that sounded like too much work. We have some hard clay soil here & wouldn't be able to get the tractor inside the goat pasture.
My 8-week olds have been out in the coop for 2 weeks now, they ventured out to the sunshine last evening and had a blast digging for worms.

If you can't find spools can you get pallets and make them a climbing playground?

More white during the night. At least last night it was just a dusting and should melt fast.

I would love to get some sort of indoor bird and then am reminded by DH that the button quail are in the house so they count. But they aren't the same, they don't want any human interaction.
You got that for being mean to me.

The budgies are fun, I love their little squeaky noises. I'm teaching them to say "I'm a chicken".

@hillbilly hen awwwwwwwwwww. You are so lucky!

@ladyrsanti I miss you when you're away. Will you bring your glorious wool to CS this year?

Welcome indeed news.
