FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE - April 16, 2014 - The Purina Animal Nutrition LLC feed plant in Portland, Ore., has initiated a limited recall of certain poultry feeds due to the potential for lower-than-expected vitamin and trace mineral levels. The products were distributed to retailers in Oregon and Washington.

Inadequate vitamin and trace mineral levels can result in health problems, including mortality, in poultry. No customer complaints have been received to date.

The products and lot numbers involved in the recall are:

I couldn't get a link using a mobile device! Go to www.fda.gov for all of the details.

Sounds like these products were not sold in Michigan.

I especially appreciate companies that test their products and issue recalls if anything is not right. I detest companies that wait until something (or someone) dies before doing a recall.

First congrats! That's why I called you the other day...miss ya's. And, remember what I said - plenty of room for the June trip!!! Cindy would love some company and so would I.
It was great to hear from you John. I just may take you up on the offer. I won't know for sure till it gets closer. Thanks for keeping in touch and for the offer.

What an adorable, sweet, sweet baby. :)
Totally making me feel wistful about my babies getting bigger (I have a 2 1/2, 5 and 7 year old). I imagine that feeling will get worse with every passing year. :)
Well my youngest will soon be 24. Time flies!

I just experienced my first broody poo. Got her out to eat and drink and went to do a few other chores. Came back a couple minutes later to find my disgusting dog ROLLING in the most enormous black poo I have ever seen. Needless to say, it turned into bath time.

Lol!

I had 19 broody poos a few days ago! I almost barffed all over my coop as they started dropping stink bombs everywhere!
I forced all girls up and out of nests and corners to drink/eat/poop and stretch their legs. Cant wait till eggs hatch at end of month cause all girls are getting snapped out of broody frenzy.
