Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

Anyone in Mt Pleasent have hatching eggs? We have a broody banty Cochin so we couldn't take to many eggs. We might not be able to even get them, as we might be busy.

Just want to see if there's a chance for hatching eggs ;)

I haven't grown tired of Chickenstock but to facilitate getting Granny to see her remaining family, as well as my two sons who live in Missouri, and coordinate the trip with everyone's work schedule the last two weeks is the only time practical.

Our property survey is finally done. Good news! The funky corner that our plot drawing and GIS showed (yellow lines).. really isn't there, just like the physical description says, hence our confusion.. The fence line we were concerned with was over our line was just a few inches over. His fence posts stray on our side a bit, but the fence is almost fallen down so he won't notice if we pull the few posts that are on our side. One end our the property went much farther over into the other neighbors than we thought it did, so I'm happy about that as well. (he is the one that wants to subdivide in the future, and put my farm at risk with the new GAAMPS changes). There is enough land now that I can also put up a hunting blind in that area and have a great hunting spot! The property owner might be a bit miffed cause he bails the field and has been coming on to our side and originally dug up our corner stake.

So in the picture... the red line is what we thought it was... but The blue line is showing what it really is. They even put in some posts to mark the lines so we can put in a fence easier.

Congrats!! Was this a real survey signed off by licensed surveyor?
Might want to sink some metal under the posts they put in...underground so you can find it with a metal detector if necessary.
Had a buddy go thru what they thought was a survey but wasn't, legal nightmare.

@SillyChicken
Awesome. And, I have to say...being able to have your blind in your own yard ROCKS!
I love being able to get home from work in October, change, grab my bow & be in my blind in 15mins!

It's a 20 minute drive from my house to my old friend's farm. Eventually David will be living on it and he is really looking forward to that except for the fact that it will mean our old friend is gone. Currently when we go hunting if we want to be in our blinds early enough he has to leave his house at 430am. Once on the farm he can wait until 630am to head out.

Yes aart, certified, licensed and very thorough. The county has them do work for them as well. (which included one of our corners being done by them last fall). They sunk the rods deep in the ground and put a survey cap on them... Some are large brass ones because they're county section markers. If anyone tries to dispute, I think it would be tough to prove them wrong. They fixed a huge issue for my parents as well. Thank you for the comment though!
