And yes to anyone who questions, mine get crd flare ups but you would never know it aside from a bird now and then in the winter getting a foamy eye. Yes i have studied the disease, no i will not cull my babies. I will however be trying a therapy of antibiotics only approved for poultry at this time in the uk soon in an attempt to eliminate it. They get manna pro supplements and are spunky and happy.

I have 3 ducklings from Holderread's available. Silver Appleyards and Saxony. They are due to arrive tomorrow or Wednesday. We ordered 10 but cant keep that many. Must be willing to pick up in the Grand Rapids area.

CS just a few weeks away, for those coming for the first time don't forget to bring an item for the raffle table. If you bring an item you sign a piece of paper and those names are put into a basket , as the names are called you come up and pick something off the table. a good way to see who is who

I'm guessing it'll be a little different this year with some of the usual players not coming, or maybe not coming.

So, yeah, newbies bring an item for the raffle, it can be a canned good, homemade trinket, or something you bought. I usually put a jar of Maple Syrup I make. Also there's a potluck table so bring a dish. There are threads in the Chickenstock section, 3 of them - Attendance, Food, and Sell/Swap. Not updated lately but a place to throw in anyway. It's always been a good time!

No way! Everyone should go just because it's a good time! The raffle was a one for one thing. 2 years ago it was suggested that only BYC members could participate but last year anyone that put something in got a raffle ticket and was eligible. Some people put in multiple items so when the raffle was finished there were still items left! Then Opa started drawing again! (I put in 2 jars of syrup, doh!)

I just mentioned it so that people that wanted to raffle would remember to bring something.
