Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

Saw this on Facebook and thought I'd post here too. Someone dispersing their 'breeding' flock via the Ann Arbor CL that is infected with Mycoplasma synoviae. Here's the CL ad: http://annarbor.craigslist.org/grd/4502869854.html Here's the message that discloses the disease status, shared with permission from Angela:
Blast. I am interested in the collonqua breed; no coop for any more! :( mine already carry crd/ micoplasma. I let mine range when i can supervise so i figure it is no use fighting it.

For those new to Chickenstock, and those that wan't to review faces beforehand, I still have my album of photos I shot last year in my account. Go to Flicker and look up uchytil59

I'm going to shoot again this year so be ready.

Oh, the big reason you should go there is to see Glambka's eggs! They are phenomenal. She'll be bring more this year as I understand.

I still don't understand what a "Non-Farm" home is... is it one that is not zoned AG or one that is zoned AG bur doesn't farm?

I'll be picking up my ram in the morning, and stopping by the park on my way home. I won't be staying long. If anyone wants a CA/FG bunny please let me know!

Well I bought them as straight run chicks. Just bad luck I guess. I did give jackienchicks a lavender "roo" that ended up being a pullet! Just my luck I guess. I might keep one of the lavender boys and order some jubilee orphington eggs for my next hatch and try those instead.
Hey Tori,

I got the four buff's from you and thought you may want to see how they are turning out. Chanteclers are the same way...very difficult to tell what sex they are until one crows or they start getting the pointy saddle/hackle feathers in.

I believe that all four of these are pullets and they are beautiful!

CS in one week, Laura's riding down with us!

Thanks for letting me hitch a ride! Looking forward to it. I will probably bring the usual...homemade mounds bars.

They are beautiful! I am about to go attempt to take some saddle/tail pics of mine and see if anyone can tell me if they are boys or girls. Should be fun since they are super human shy.
