Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

Lake Superior is especially cold this year. As far as wading in, the good news is that by the time you get in to your knees, your feet are numb. Of course that does not stop the yoopers from hopping in occasionally! A good dose of malt beverages or aged grape juice helps considerably.

Not quite level...there is a bit of a grade so the water runs off. At the end, I'm going to slope that from the lower level to the upper. I'll bet that is going to be a challenge.
The engrave bricks came from the family church that closed down. There is a 12 x 12 brick that will be set to feature a park bench that will go on the lower tier.

I really like these types of projects but they sure are time consuming. Demolition, haul away and prep work has taken up 3-4 weekends. And that was before the first brick was laid. My friend thought that this was just a weekend project.

very nice like the goats and the dog, you should get some good milk from them.

there was another post I wanted to respond to, don't remember who's it was, but about meds, you, can and should treat all birds, if one has it they may all have it even if symptoms don't show.
What kind of immunizations are you talking about?

Update on my hugging roo with the possible fungal/ mold in the lungs: garlic is kicking its butt! Within 3 days there was noticable improvement and in a week he went from not eating to packing in more than the girls!

So sorry, it's hard to loose a favorite especially. Without a post mortem exam you'll never know. Do it yourself if you can, or refrigerate her body and find someone who can tomorrow. Again, so sorry. Mary

So sorry Peep Chicken. Chickens hide their illnesses as long as possible so they don't get pecked. It is possible she'd been sick and not eating well for a time before. As Folly said you won't know unless you get a necropsy/post mortem. Again so sorry.

Fuzzy so glad your roo is all well again!!! Sorry about your dove though. I'm sure it will do fine. As long as it can get to a tree and some instincts should kick in.
