Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

Morning all. Haven't been on in a couple days. Had bathroom pipes freeze the other day. Ran out of fuel oil last night, good thing we already had a delivery scheduled for today. Knew it would be close.

morning everyone....

with the new spray foam technology out there you have to make sure the room is at a certain temp otherwise part a and part b wont mix well...leaving you a bad odor in the house...check up on it online....youtube bad things about spray foam insulation....you should be able to find some things..one owner got it professionally done and this happened to them and she had to live in a camper outside of her house...and when she went in the house she had to wear a respirator....

Hi to all. My chickens have been ok down to around -24 degrees. Calling for temps down to -30to-35 tonight:(:( air temp. Will they b ok without any added heat?

It would be hard to say for sure, it depends on the coop and condition of your birds. After losing one to frozen legs already, I'm tempted to break my own rule of not using heat.

But hen again, I also don't want to pay another 700$ Ele bill again either!

The sun is at least shining right now!

Welcome to the new folks!

Sam, how's that arm doing?

Hey everyone! This thread goes so much faster than I remember. I hope everyone is doing well! I'm trying to browse through posts and keep up with everyone, but sorry if I don't reply to each person. It's nice to see you all now and then (when I have a break here and there).

Welcome to the BYC coop Banty Barn and to the Michigan thread. We are a pretty lively group, might be because we have to stay ahead of the cold weather, lol. Jump in anytime, I love reading others post and seeing shared photos
