I was so glad to see some rain but wish it could have been a bit less dramatic. We were in church when the first storm went through and lightning took out a tree, knocked down the power line which caught the pole on fire and started a grass fire. I think there was a total of three trailers/campers overturned on the bridge. Not where I would want to be in a storm, I've done it before! My co-worker had a tree come down and kill her favorite cow. She now has an orphan to care for. We only saw rain and wind at our place. During the worst of the storm our wild turkey hen and poults were nested down in the middle of the hay field. They are some tough birds!
I've had a very daring coyote around lately. At 6 this morning I was running around the yard in pj's, crocs with a gun trying to chase him off. He was about 20 foot from the house again this time. However, after rethinking his brief appearance, size and behavior I am wondering if it was a wolf. My brother heard one a couple miles from here about two weeks ago. I may have to do some shooting with a camera until I'm sure what he is.
