Yes, it is amazing, but it only effects your life by how much you let it. I like to see it like it's not that I can't do that, but it will just be a bit more of a challenge to do. He'll be able to do all those things once his ankle has had time to heal. He'll just have to be more careful and take his time so as not to aggravate the injury. I live with this daily so I can honestly tell you in time these things will be do-able.then surgery on Tuesday to install plate(s) and screws in order to repair. DH asked what the standard/percentage of loss is with injuries like this after all healing was completed. Dr said 50-60% return to normal after a couple of years. This does not take into account my DH's osteoporosis or arthritis. I'm wondering if he will ever be able to ride his horses again, building our house has definitely been postponed and will take much longer to complete once started, and fishing in the icy river will probably never happen for him again.
