Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

Aw, out of roosters? That just won't do. Maybe you or your neighbor needs a gift. We can name him Hatching Eggs. He can be for your hens.

Then you can turn your/their eggs into popcorn chickies again-lots and lots of them.

Just kidding. Gifting people roosters isn't a good idea (especially for the rooster). Plus this guy is not going to be covering hens until later summer or maybe even fall. Plus-plus, he's cuddly, and I like my cockerel cuddles even if they won't last forever. Too bad cockerels don't lay eggs and don't get along better or I would keep them all.

My two broodies love to eat snow. Everyone has water, but snow is so much better apparently. I think they're "cleaning" up the last of it.

Welcome to the newbies!

We got less than an inch and it's now gone,
looked all the nicer knowing it would soon be gone. :D

Went to TSC for feed, they had some ducks, SR bantams, Orp, SLW, and GLW pullets...and maybe something else.
They have lowered the minimum from 6 to 4,
which could increase the 'easter present' sales :hmm.
I came home with nothing but feed...

...but I have a broody and an incy full of eggs.
Bator chicks will all go to local farmette.
Very happy that I am finally getting comfortable with learning the controls on the new Incuview...it's gonna be a gas watching the hatch thru that clear lid!
