Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

I didn't do a darn thing on the new coop today. Spent all day getting ready for the garage cement pour tomorrow. Moved lumber, fire-wood, rocks and bricks. Raked and burned debris too. The lightest thing I lifted today was a 12 oz. beer.
I'm calling it a day even thought I have a few hours of daylight left. Laundry and dishes will just have to wait
Man's got to know his limitations

Put the 1wo chicks out in the coop today, nice to have them out of the house.
...and they are loving the space!

Still got their heater pad...even tho it's about 80 in the coop.

One even got sassy thru the mesh, was pecking the heck out of the window as this hen was checking them out. Course I missed the action shot, but still, it was funny!

Just a few thumbnail shots. I don't think most people want to watch cement dry.

I put up some mesh to keep the critters out as the concrete cures. About an hour after, a small flock of wild turkeys came in and were eyeballing the new pad. Life in the woods. :love

Nope. It was a perfect day to pour here. Full sun exposure helped the whole process. I don't know squat about cement but the guys doing it were happy as could be with the conditions.
All I know is that I can start building by Wednesday. Unfortunately, I have to deal with my Mom's house and can't start until the weekend.
Looking for helpers. Are you in?
