Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

Here too....lovely thunderboomer, except for those with outside holiday activities, like the fall festival going on in my town.
My bike run ended early. Not because of weather but a voltage regulator problem that happened at the first stop.
Came home and started chores. Stupid UTV had a dead battery. Strike 2.
Started cutting firewood and a nice thunderboomer rolled in. Strike 3.
That might be it for the day. Still need to wash the car for the show tomorrow. Might wait until morning since my road is completely flooded now. So much for making plans.

At least the chicks are warm and dry. They even got a nice over-ripe cantaloupe for a treat. Such is life in the woods.

Went to a wedding in Dexter today and opted to go through Chelsea just to stop by the FFH there to grab a few things. And yeah, they had chicks there. Amy was with me so I did have a responsible adult with me. But then we saw that they had Lavender Orpington pullets there as well. 4 of them. Was really tempting get them as that's what Amy wants to get next and they were right in the cute fuzzball stage.

But we had that wedding to go to today out at the Hudson Mills Metropark. Got there and got under the pavilion just in time to find a good dry spot in it as it opened up there and was just crazy. Needless to say, I'm already glad that we've got a good solid backup location already in place in case the weather is bad next year for ours.

Had a couple of cells roll over over us, but it did eventually dry out. Opted to swing by Chelsea just to see if those chicks were still there. Nope. Some guy came in like 2 hours after we did and bought a whole flock according to the cashier. Oh well. another time perhaps.

Hi Michigan peeps. You have a very lovely state but the first few days were miserable. I had a couple of nights of a great lightning and thunder show. The following days were cooler. Your state is very green and beautiful. I just got back home. Thanks again Mary, it was so fun to visit and see your beautiful chickens.

No, don't like the humid weather... at all! But, Michigan sure is a pretty state! I love going in the travel trailer and discovering all it's beauty. Just got back from visiting Holland Saugatuck. Holland is such a friendly place.
