Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

Stinking chickens. I'm not sure how they did it but all 5 sapphire gems are outside of the run.
This breed is the flightiest group of hens that I've ever had.
Good thing that I haven't seen any sign of predators in several months.

Hooray. Just got the confirmation that my orientation is a go. Eight hours of learning the ropes. And it is local, not the hour drive that was suggested at the interview phase. Plus, a girl I currently work with also has orientation on the same day. She is a good worker.

I think things are starting to look up. :fl Jebus knows I could use a break.

Congrats!!
Did you say where and what the job is?

Gotcha...just wondering what kind of work it is....didn't need an address ;)
Oh, I guess I missed that.
The starting job is supposed to be as a receiving clerk in the back room. But I'm also being considered for a store defective position. Considering my "criminal" background, I could be good at ferreting out shop lifters or shady cashiers.

Opened the Coop today and looked at the thermometer. 46'F with 65% humidity. I think I can live with those numbers.

Now I have to go out and try to fix my Jeep. Several minor things to be done, the worst being taking the whole front end off just to get to the washer bucket which sprung a leak. :he

Also trying to do laundry and some house keeping. I'll be tracking mud in all day.
I so know the feeling of such a "planned day" of responsible adulting. Tracking mud(via the dogs from yesterday's good rain) in while dealing with laundry, vehicle fun, house cleaning type chores.

Going to be looking for chicks soon here I think. Just gotta finish getting the brooder ready and then going to track down who has Lavender Opps pullets available. If anybody else see some, let me know. Ideally picking them up Sunday would work best for me and the wife.

I have 2 dogs tracking in mud. They don't seem to bring in as much as I do. :th
Put the landscape rake on the tractor and moved a lot of mud, snow and leaves. Not sure that qualifies as "adulting". Never did get to work on the Jeep.
