Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

Got off my butt and ran some errands today.
Including, finally, the plastic glazing for the coop window broken during the June storm.
Measurements were tight(thought I left some room to spare) but fit.
Who knows how long it will be before it's actually installed, got a worktable set up inside for it to dry out, and window is back where it belongs.

I just didn't know, and ended up with a knife, and still feel bad about it all. He did need to be gone though!
It was back when i tried to 'rehab' a nasty cockerel, and did the three strikes and you're out thing. It was his third strike, and his last.

Good lord can these little vultures really be that bad??!?! Of course I’m saying that with a ton of sarcasm!

More people need to know how much work tending to chickens is. they would more fully appreciate where our food comes from and realize that their chicken tender doesn’t just grow up in that shape. Glad to be in Michigan...you guys are awesome!

Yep.....and wouldn't just get a bunch of birds because it's so cool, and 'easy'.

Here is one of several videos. Warning, it is graphic, a rooster is killed -

Some folks talk about doing this on a cement slab, I just do it on the grass. You can feel the distinct "POP" when the dislocation occurs.
