Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

We're on FB. He doesn't have text. Hard to communicate with him. :idunno Don't know if I should give him a call. I know he found someone to check on animals the first night... hopefully they are still taking care of them. Wish he wasn't so far away from everyone.

Sorry to hear about Randy, this seems to becoming a common problem. at least 2 people I know have had this happen. It requires long time antibiotics and is difficult.. Randy, if you get to see this know we are praying for you and wishing you our best.:(

Hi everyone. I'm home now. I was turned loose with a fist-full of mew prescriptions. I have some sort of strep infection of the blood. One scan showed an inflammation of the inside of new chest would. WBC count was very high to start, Various electrolytes were low so I now have several supplements to take. The worst part now is the muscle pain in my upper chest, shoulders, and neck. I'm wearing a shawl of ouch. That part puzzles them. The good news is that the TEE showed that my heart is safe from infection.

This whole thing hit me out of the blue. I've been following all the rules for staying healthy but somehow it didn't work. One thing I learned is that I'll have to travel with some sort of emergency bag with Phone charger, contact number list, toothbrush, toothpaste, underwear, and other vitals needed

At least I can sleep in my own bed tonight. Hopefully I'll get some actual rest. Tomorrow I'm off and I go back to work on Saturday.

Thanks for all your kind thoughts.

Very glad that you are home, and improving. Scary stuff! And take care of yourself!!
Mary
It really wasn't scary. Puzzling perhaps. I've been on a diabetic and heart friendly diet for over 4 years. I've lost weight too. All of my labs have been in the normal range for a good 3 years. I just seem to fall into the weird pool. :idunno
