Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

I'm glad you are home Randy, it's always easier to rest, and I know you had to be worried about all your fur and feather friends.
Darn critters are always my first concern. If I hadn't gotten hold of someone to help I would have left AMA. I'm glad I didn't have to do that. I'm happy to be home now.
I hope that now I am in a normal routine

I'm so glad you are home, Randy. Please just take care of yourself! Especially because you are so alone out there.
We went camping the labor day weekend in Holland. Had so much fun! Weather played with us a lot but all was good. Walks to the beach to see sunset. I could not believe the people on the beach, though. We went to less traveled areas. The boats! People in the water with red flag warnings. I know there was one water rescue. WE love Holland. Next is to South Haven for our Halloween theme trip. Been getting my Halloween stuff organized and adding to out stash and crafting items too. My favorite trip! Let's see if we can get the trophy for a third time!
Take care and have a good day!

Time to vent!
Ground hogs have been invading our coop and eating huge amounts of chicken feed, and I'm not out there all day trying to shoot them, so the live traps came out. This morning one was tripped, and the critter tore open a corner of the wire and escaped. :he First time that's happened here, and frustrating, so nobody to shoot, and a ruined trap. Bah! Humbug!
Life in the country...this year, red squirrels in the attic, hornets under the front deck, ground wasps in the back yard, and these useless freeloading ground hogs!
All minor irritations, really, but still...
The really important issues going on make the little things more noticable, or something. And today is 9/11, another much bigger thing.

The only one we were ever able to live trap was years ago, another one who found the chicken feed. At least that one stayed in the trap and met the 22. The coop is near a front corner of our property, so very bad firing solutions, can't really shoot ant there safely.

Randy, the infection most likely came from the hospital, not something you did. They never will admit it though. So all you can do is be prepared and follow their directions. Good luck!!

I have been taking care of myself. That's what makes this all so confusing. Thinking about it, this is the 2nd trip to the ER with a stay over. Both times I was at work when it occurred. The receiving area is not air conditioned and it gets darn hot back there. Air circulation is minimal. It's non-existent in 4 of the bays. Management has refused to provide fans. Based on my medical release report it appears that the root cause for my episodes is environmental. I'm going to file a grievance and see if I can force some improvements back there. My immediate management has tried to help but any improvements have been blocked by Corporate. Or so I've been told.

Side note: I was off for 4 weeks for the heart surgery. I provided doctors note before requesting the time off and another doctor note upon return to work. Corporate then stepped in. First by denying short-term disability pay, which I NEVER requested, then then they changed my approved time-off to "unexcused" absences. That resulted in demerits to the point that I went from a top rating of 4 to low 2 which is a disciplinary level. Unbelievable!
