We did the same thing! I wanted to get a fogger but it is suppose to rain again so that will be a waste…We've never had mosquitoes in these numbers! It was nice during the dry spell, but the the rains came, and WOW! This won't be good, and we had 1.25" of rain just last night, so puddles everywhere all over again.
I've added three new cans of Deep Woods Off, one by each door, just to be able to go outside at all.

Yep, that's how it works.......they little will move closer and closer over time.Yes or no? The bigs seem cool with it.
Heard my first yesterday morning, haven't really been outside much since then. Are any of you suffering from the mosquito infestation that has landed on my property this morning?
I'd move them out there mid-day maybe, when you have time to observe and they have time to eat and drink and get a bit acclimated before sleep time.I'm wondering it there is a "better" time of day to move the chicks into the big birds' coop?
Yes. It'll be in the coop permanently, but I'll remove the hardware cloth when they're integrated. I'll get some pictures later.I'd move them out there mid-day maybe, when you have time to observe and they have time to eat and drink and get a bit acclimated before sleep time.
You're moving them to a meshed off area that will fit huddle box feeder and waterer, IIRC.
