Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

@aart, another integration question...

My thought is to let Lark out just before dark, so she can get in the coop. Does that make sense?

I just went out now, and when she realized I was locking up the coop, started a ruckus. (And Darl is ruckusing back, so it's loud out there now.) If I let her out at dusk, I'll stick around until dark to see if everything is ok in the coop.

And :fl :fl
Will need to get down there at first light....hopefully she behaves.

Yup. I'm thinking I'll let her out tomorrow at dusk, so she can go in the coop. That will be 4 days of crated-ness to try to re-set her attitude. I'll be out there at dawn Thursday am to open up the coop. I'll sit in my chair and watch for awhile.

What I've seen of the two groups so far is the chicks and adults staying mostly to themselves. I put a LOT of clutter on what was the chicks' side of the run when the fence was up. They have several things to get up on and get behind.

Here is what we are leaving it off with today. Hoping to do some concrete tomorrow but we will see

What kind of concrete work?
I still want to see the top/roof of that structure.
The top is just the second part of the tree house. I think we are going to do some siding on it and seals this weekend too. We are using just regular bags that you mix. We will need about 50 bags which is gonna suck having to carry all of them back to the area we need them at

Are you making a floor or ....???

Wow!!! It was sooooo beautiful going over the Mighty Mac at dusk the other day. I've been over it at sunset before, this was even more beautiful! I got 5 gallons of large-sand-to-small-pebble sized Lake Huron

The churpettes grew up soooo much in just a few days... as in combs and wattles developing so much more. Thankfully, they are back to liking to hang out close to me.

just stopping in to say hi. (Hey Troyer - nice to see you! Your birds look beautiful.)

Work has picked up a bit more and I spent yesterday and will later today in Detroit at the warehouse and build site. Wish I could share photos but pesky NDA's put a stop to any of that. I can share what's already been published by news media etc... so click on the link if you're interested. My company is installing the parking structure down in the lower levels.
