Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

Hello y'all, how is everyone today?
Need to finish a painting commission and clean the carpet on the stairs. Maybe if I still have energy I'll bake some cinnamon rolls. :fl

For a minute there with all the rain I thought I was in that Johnny Cash song!

"Well, the hives are gone
I've lost my bees
The chickens are sleeping
In the willow trees
Cow's in water up past her knees
Three feet high and rising

How high's the water, mama?
Four feet high and rising
How high's the water, papa?
She said - it's four feet high and rising"

A buddy from work was over yesterday and rehung my front door. It wasn't an easy job due to the way the original door was built into the wall. When I moved in I replaced the door with a steel one. I didn't get it plumb so it never fully closed. Any way...it's hung properly now and works as advertised.

I have to reinstall the brick moulding, spray foam, and hang the storm door. Should be an easy job but I'm not looking forward to be out in the cold. Temp is low 40s and not expected to get much higher.

Follow up with doctor this afternoon to check the IV infection site (looks good) and change the dressing on the PICC. It's a beautiful fall day here. Colours are starting to really pop.

RaZ, do you still have a job at Meijer, or did they fire you cuz of no show?

So damp out. And cold. Went and took the Halloween decorations down at my daughter's house and everything had frost on it. I'm going to have to lay things out to dry out. We have our halloween in Sept at a camp site. Since no kids come to my house, we take the decorations and I do her front lawn. She lives in a neighborhood with lots of kids. Now I have to empty my car. Have to go back with hubby's truck to get the rest.
It wasn't suppose to rain yesterday, but it did on and off all day. Luckily, it stopped around six so the kids at least stayed dry.

As of last week I was still an employee. The HR person wants a new note from the doctor explaining my need for the medical leave. I'll get that FAXed over when I see Doc this afternoon. I'm sure that they would rather I just quit outright. They cut hours for all of the receivers. They are lucky if they even get a 4-hour half shift.
