1300 should just be the framing of the floor and walls with osb on it too. Still don't have it sealed at that point or have a roof
Definitely should get the roof done in the first stage,
to protect the floor and walls or it will just get damaged...like flushing money down the toilet.

So glad I don't have to drive anywhere today. Lots of accidents on the Grand Rapids area freeways reported on this morning's news.

The waterers in the run were semi frozen. Time to get the extension cord and heated waterer out.

The ground is not frozen yet, this is the first two nights of hard freeze that we've had so far this year. Both waterers were skimmed with thick ice, so I put them in the coop for tonight. Bah, humbug to the skiing 👿
Good news is that it's going to warm back up again with lows in the upper 30s to 40s for at least a week.

I get lake effect here too. Haven't had a bad Nor'easter for several years now but it can happen. Last one was about 5 years ago. 15 inches in a day. Had a heck of a time plowing out from that one.
Today looks to be an errand day. Then maybe cut some firewood. I have 2 piles of windfall that I dragged out of the woods. Some nice red oak that needs to be cut, split, and stacked to season. And there is a lot more still out there.
Gotta get off my lazy arse.

Snowflakes here today too, it's that time.
Today I planted the two pawpaw seedlings I bought last week; madness struck again! May they do well, and have interesting and edible fruit someday.
Everything else that needs planting will happen soon...
We have 50+ acres, you wouldn't think it would be hard to find spots for things. BUT, the deer are so happy to eat everything we put out, so it is actually hard to decide where to plant stuff.
And we have plants that i can't bear to cut out; anyone for lilacs, or redbud seedlings?
Mary
No kidding right? I planted, replanted, and replanted my pear trees years ago. The bucks would rub them to death (literally). Big enough now they don't bother. I'd take some redbuds! What color lilacs?

Well it is cold for sure. Snow? Not yet in Muskegon. Glad I winterized my pressure washer and trailer plumbing. That night it was wicked cold, lol. Well maybe not as the UP where I used to reside. Maybe they are sledding down hills by now?
