The high wind warning was supposed to expire at 4:00 but they extended it to 8:00pm. It has increased here to steady 25 and gusting higher. The sky should be clear tonight to see the meteor show. Calling for snow on Saturday.

Put a new battery in the UTV. The dead battery was dated 2013. But the machine was built in 2016. I guess they had some old stock at the factory. Tomorrow I'll have to get the Jeep alternator tested. Seems like when one thing breaks down everything else does too.

I have to laugh every time I see the wind ruffle up the chickens feathers.

Oh boy, isn't that the truth.

I almost got pushed over by a gust of wind, not sure whether to laugh or be embarrassed.

A couple of my smallest hens were being pushed about too. I need to put up a sort of wind block to keep the snow (where?) and the wind from reaching the coop doors.

Haven't lost power, but at the moment I don't care if I did as I've got my evening coffee.

The hen below is a silkie OEGB mix. (Need name suggestions) Thinking my rooster must have a Strong Fuzzy gene.

Update on the knee issue, will be seeing an orthopedic surgeon as there's an abnormality on the head of my tibia from an improperly healed injury. (Evidently, I did not infact "walk it off.")

The power finally came back on thank goodness. I have a friend that works on the Mackinac bridge and she told me wind gusts on the bridge were up to 80 miles an hour today . There are semis, trucks and vehicles pulling trailers parked all over town, as the bridge is closed to most traffic.

I have a really good charger with a 50amp jump start setting. Battery just clicked.
I'm going back out to pull the cables off and try a direct 10amp charge.
