I located a galvanized water fount that I knew I had around here somewhere. I'll clean and sanitize it this evening. I should be able to get a heated base this week. I had a decent work week last pay period.
It should be a decent week this week too. I had a full shift today (4 hours) and scheduled for Saturday for another 4. However, my team leader asked me if I could work tomorrow. He said I can put in a full 8 hour day if I want too. He said that the store is worried about hoarders stripping the shelves because of the predicted storm. How crazy are people these days?

Recent weather predictions say 2-4 inches. That's nothing, right? I'm getting so tired of every day seeming to be in full panic mode.
Oh well, it's a new month and start of the Year of the Tiger. Fresh start, eh?

Does it smells like the plant? The smell of marihuana makes me very ill in the gut. I have no clue as to why. 2 yrs ago, when looking for a house, one of the hourses had plants in the yard and they used to smoke in the house and I was so sick that I had to leave the realtor by herself. Been like this all my life. They even used me in teh Army as a drug tester,lol

I am asking becasue it might help me with my hand and knee discomfort.

generally after the desired agents have been extracted, the smell isn't so bad. It's also usually mixed with oils and stuff so that hides the scent as well. I don't care for the pungency of the natural plant either.

I have no clue how much I will get bythe Lakeshore. But I am ready for it. Especially now that I just came in from a windy 19 degrees. I always look at the camera and count the girls to make sure they are all in and that the other 3 are up in their cage out in the run. But, I was here and then got side tracked doing my online studies and now when I looked before going to bed, BOOM! only 7 inside. Had to try to figure out who was out and where. Thought of Blanch, EE, and she has barely any feathers. Anyways, got dressed over pj's and it was Monica,ISA,who has some frostbite on her tiny comb. As soon as she saw me with the flashlight she just opened her wings for me to pick her up. Her outside feathers were so cold. I held her for a bit to warm them up and took her inside and placed her in the roos next to her buddy Rachel,RIR. Dang it is cold out there. It is mostly the wind that sucks.

Well, I guess we're going to get more than the 2" they thought yesterday. That's ok. I'm going to Meijers this morning, and I'll make sure the gas can is full, in case we lose power. So glad I don't have to go out in it anymore.

Snow coming here after rain tonight, sounds not so fun. Already planning to stay home this week, after running errands today.
Chicks look fine out in the coop, and aren't using their brooder plate. I'll leave it on through the cold weather later this week, and then see. Ready for spring...
