Have you shoveled yet?
All that rain underneath makes for some heavy stuff that sticks to the shovel.
I saw some wet snow in my footprints on the way back from walking Freya. DH is going to snow blow when he gets home. We probably have 4" and deeper in some spots where the wind picks it up.

If it were abut 10 degrees colder, we would have some serious drifting. The snow is still a bit wet and heavy to be picked up by the wind we have now. And yup, colder is coming.

I don't shovel, at least very little, very seldom. Lazy, right? There's an alternative plan for that...

Someone else does it for you? :D

DH is going to snow blow when he gets home.
Hopefully it doesn't plug up.

Not looking forward to throwing snow off the driveway,
hoping the 1° Thursday night locks it up so it'll go thru the chute. :fl

At our old house the water was horrible!! Rust, smell and everything else. Wolverine put in a softener and said it would take care of everything. NOT Came back a few times to flush out the pipes with bleach. Didn't work. Said we needed another contraption for a grand. Still didn't work. Said we needed another!! Called Culligan and they took everything out and put in their water softener. Water was so much better. No smell. Was an old well, so still a little bit of rust but water was drinkable.
This house has a whole house water filtration system.
Funny I read this. I saw a commercial and wrote down Culligan's number, lol

Nothin in my area so far. The driveway is clear of snow and full of salt, lol Girls came out yesterday but the grass wa almost like mud. Today I had stuff to do so, I bare got out there. Went to get eggs (6 out of 11) and then to bring them leftovers (ground beef with very little rice and 2 new cabbage heads and hung them up for them in case it does gets bad and I only go for eggs. Clean water and after those 3 times, they went in for the night and no one was left behind, lol

Sugar and carbs: Lets see...

I use 3 tsp of sugar in my coffee. 4 cups (16oz each) of decaf coffee (used to drink 8). I use nomore sugar for the rest of the day.
Now carbs is another story. Who can say no to pasta? and pops? I am a pepsiholic. Is there a 12 step program for that? I might need the 24 step version. I have cut down on pepsi's once I decided to turn them into cash. I have about 500.00 from pepsi cans alone. They should give me some company shares, right? I used to drink one right after coffee, between coffee, after every snack, after every meal and before going to bed. So from about 6 or 7 a day, I am down to 4. I need to lower it to 2 and do more exercise.

About the BP, I was called today to let me know that they sent me lisinopril 5mg in the mail and to take it once a day and wait at least an hour and take my BP and write it down so I can take it with me on the 18th. Looking forward to that day not becaseu I am going to AA but because since my Bday is after that, I heard about a Puertorican spot in Brigthon called Carmen's Place and want to check it out.

41 grams of sugar in a can of Pepsi. That is a little over 8 teaspoons. So 1 can of Pepsi contains more sugar than the daily recommendation for an adult woman. Unless you drink sugar free?

Unfortunately there is some evidence that even though artificial sweeteners do not contain calories, the body may still see them as sugar and cause issues with your sugar regulation, which could increase the risk of diabetes.

The biggest problem with soda is that it gives you repeated tastes of sugar, and you come to crave it constantly. If you give up sugar for a while, when you try to drink a soda the taste is disgustingly sweet.

I tried eliminating all sugar, breads, rice, noodles, simple carbs of every kind, and increasing the amount of protein, fat and vegetables, and gained weight. Did not work for me. And it was a miserable way to eat. I still do avoid most sugar and stick to whole grains.
