I agree. Usually when I hear them they are deeper in the woods. These seemed to be right next to the house.

Hello all. Not sure if I introduced myself here yet. (I did it twice in another thread).
I'm Bob (RJM Yooper) and I'm in Norway, Mi. U.P. New here and new to avian World of feathered friends.
I'm starting this adventure with 4 female ducks. Trying to get Cayuga, but might have to settle with Welsh Harlequin, which are a good choice as well.

Very cold this morning, 18 degrees. Sunny and bright right now, though. At least there isn't any wind, atm. Our dog has the right idea: curled up in front of the woodstove.

It was supposed to get down to 8 degrees overnight here, but I didn't stick around to check! Even before the sunset I was shivering out there!
