It's "the sunny day" for this week. It was 28 degrees when I got up, and now it's up to 38. It'll warm quickly with the gorgeous sunshine out there.

And hubby is finally home, doing better, so also good news.
Chickens are still locked in, and we'd love to be able to let them out, but not yet. It's about time to dig up all those lilac starts, BTW...

Dreamz, did you try growing long day onions? They do better in Northern climates. I would also recommend using starts (little already growing onion plants) rather than seed.

long day onions? That a new name for me,lol I always thought onions were jusy onions,lol I do like the ones they sell in branches but I just leave those in water by kitchen window since I used them a lot. Will look into that guide for sure, thank you.

Nice day today. I was in a trip and I missed the day at home. But it was worth it. Saw the most beautiful land in the state. I think Michigan is beautiful everywhere,lol

Went all the way down to past Kalamazoo. Saw the famous Gun Lake Casino,lol It was a nice trip for me. I love driving. We met the most wonderful young man today. He was very polite and understanding. So, yeap! Got my girls a little stud!

He is staying in the office for a while. Already had his electrolite water and feed. He is a bit skittish but hope he comes around and let's me pick him up often. Right now all he does is look at me, like " who are you?Why are you trying to be nice to me?" He is a real stud for sure. So darn cute rtoo. Will take pictures and post later on.

My week will be very busy. Need to find a plumber for that toilet. I also need to find an electrician because my light on the back stopped working last night, so I do not have a light in the back nor my camera is working there. Then I have VA video appointments and on Wednesday have to take hub to the ortopaedics about his elbow.

Well, need to go shower and get a bite to eat before it gets dark. Last night Lil' mama got locked out. I have no clue whey they all go in at 7pm, get on the roosting bar, and then go back out to get more feed? So I had to go and grab her to bring her inside. They all hear when my back door opens and they all run down the ramp as if it is time yo go back outside. The funniest is that once I open the coop door, they come up and run towards the door like if the devil is after them. I have to stop them and it is hard to close the door with 8 knuckleheads trying to squeeze out,lol The wonderful life of chickens,lol

We met the most wonderful young man today. He was very polite and understanding. So, yeap! Got my girls a little stud!

No. I was thinking of "Joey" so he can tell all the girls, "how ya' doing?" But interesting enough he has some Cubalaya in him. Me being Puerto Rican and have a Cuban roo, Oh, Boy! I might just call him "Papi" even if the hub gets jealous,lol I can just think it in my head scenario: "Hey, papi come over to mami!" - My husband will be like, whaaaaaaaat?

OMG! They all look the same as I google it but there are short day, intermediate day and long day,lol I am such a city girl!
The ones that I get on a branch are called green onions but I tried once to put themin dirt and they died. They last me longer when left on just water. Their roots get pretty big. I gonna need to order some of those long day onions then. I though I could just grow the from scrap like carrots and pineapples.

I didn't realize about the different types of onions for the first few years I was up here and tried to grow sweet onions and they never did well. Thought I just couldn't grow onions.

Just peecking from bed. Cannot go to the computer because papa is sleeping in the office. He already made a mess with the water. He was used to being outside,so he is not liking being in an enclosure. He tried a few times to fly oit but could not. Will have to find him a bigger area because I do not want him to get hurt.
My girls know when it is time to go inside their run but I wonder if he will follow them in or if it will be a lot of work to get him in.
Ok, Lizette, one step at a time.....
Held him for a while and tried to peck me but did not. I guess he was trying me. I hope that by holding him more times he can realize that I mean no harm to him and get him used to me.
