Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

Hope everyone is enjoying this Easter Sunday. Pitbull woke up freasky and gave given the run to all the girls, lol But baby mama keeps him by softly pecking at him. It is so sweet to watch. Got only 8 eggs today. Made breakfast and now heading to take my midday nap,lol

Maybe, lol In PR they take the instestines and empty them. Have no clue how they get cleaned but once they are cleaned, they fill it with some cooked rice and blood. Then fry them. They are very good. Lard is still used in PR for frying as well. I do not think I will eaat that combination but I bet I can find something from teh insides of a pig that I will eat,lol
My mother used to separate the small pig intestine and clean it. She would lay it on a 1" x 10" board and using a flat wooden scraper would clean every thing gooey out of it. All the goop would be scraped out leaving the tough outer layer. We used it for stuffed sausage and brats. I still prefer that method or sheep casing which is usually smaller and tougher, it won't break as easily while we stuff it.

OMG! Just let the girls out and came inside to clean the table and as I turned to the siding door, boom! Pitbull was mating with lil mama So excited! I wanted him to marry her first. Poor roo had tried for days anyone and nothing. Sorry had to share my excitement!
That's why we're here, to share everyone's excitement. :thumbsup

Thank you guys! He is really stepping up. A few days he was like not letting them in the coop but the sebrights. I watch him today finding food for them and he leads them around. The big girls still do what they want but he keeps at it. Rachel the RIR stayed behind with Blanch the EE and Spophia tha NN and he was right by the entrance waiting for them and they were scared. I moved the in and I think of him like a dad ans he pecked Rachel like, " this better be the last time that you stay out" lol. He made sure they were all in and I did not had to go outside to bring not one back in. They were in before the door closed. I can say, yes roosters can be mean but dang, I think this is a good rooster. He does not like me to pet him much but I still go when they are roosting and I do pet him so he knows that I love him and he can trust me.

Hey, Raz, how can I make crows the only birds in my yard? Lol
I do not have many as before. A few juncos,a couple of woodpeckers which I think they are in the neighbor's tree because I hear their carpentry lol and a few blue jays.
Well, long day tomorrow for I have a lot of house work like laundry, organizing the pantry, and open a few boxes. I have to finish some more unpacking from the move lol
Good night!
