@RaZ can you get a small ceramic electric one at least for when you are either watching TV or sleeping?
That's the plan for when I get my SS allowance tomorrow. I'll get a room heater to keep the pipes from freezing. I don't have TV service and I haven't been sleeping much lately. At least I have the inter web so I can chat here.

Some birdhouses I’ve been working on.

Cold here this morning. Duck pool had frozen over but it was thin enough to break up. I've been bringing the water founts in at night so that's not a big deal.

A few days ago I did a load of laundry that included my cell phone. So today I had to get a replacement. They no longer make simple flip phones. So spent most of the afternoon trying to outsmart the smart phone. I think it won.
Yeah, I had to replace my phone last weekend. The power button wasn't working on my iPhone 11, and while I could have gotten it repaired, I was going to be without it for a while, so just made more sense to upgrade to the 13, and trade it in, and then they'll fix it up and sell it to whomever I guess.

Is winter over yet?
It's been at least a month since any chicken has laid an egg. I have gathered a total of 5 duck eggs during the past 2 weeks. So there is that. :thumbsup

Cold and breezy here today but I'm seeing a steady stream of birds coming in to the feeders. I love seeing the blue jays come in and challenge the squirrels for peanuts. I've noticed that the ducks like the peanuts too. They clean up any that fall on the ground that the birds and squirrels miss.

I hope everybody is staying warm. I'm trying to work up the ambition to go out to split some wood. My supply is dwindling faster than I like.

One of my hens was sleeping in a nesting box. No one is laying now, and she was pretty tatty looking with her molt, so I didn't mind.

Today at lockup, she was up on the roost, so I closed up the nests. I guess the tender feeling part is done now and she wants to cuddle up with the others.

Dang, I missed my chickens while I was gone!

I got the electric cord out there, the heated waterer, and the string of LED lights. Winterization of the coop and run is done. Check that off the list.

I mean, write that on the list, and then check it off.

Here's a car question that Google might or might not be answering.

2016 Ford Focus, front wheel drive. Are BOTH of the wheels drive wheels (as what Google is saying), or is one wheel powered and driving the car, and if so, driver's or passenger's side?

My understanding is this:
FWD: one of the front wheels is the drive wheel.
Rear Wheel Drive: one of the rear wheels is the drive wheel.
4 Wheel Drive: one front and one rear, kitty corner from each other.
All Wheel Drive: all 4 wheels are drive wheels.

Someone set me straight, please.

FWD: both front wheels are drive wheels,
Rear Wheel Drive: both rear wheels drive,
4 Wheel Drive: all four wheels drive in unison,
All Wheel Drive: all wheels drive except they drive independently of each other. The idea of an all wheel drive is that no wheel will lose traction, but rather when one wheel is about to lose traction the other wheels will speed up/dig in more. The idea is that it's much more difficult to get stuck because you won't spin out.
