Are you ordering from Cackle this year? Chicks, or hatching eggs? They have Bielefelders.


But I also love my Australorps... Cackle has black, but not blue, I think. I'd love some better quality blues.

Just rambling here... it's a grey day and I wish it were March, not January.

I always order chicks, don't have an incubator. I'm better off that way...

I need egg layers. I did get two blue eggs Wednesday!! First eggs in weeks. Lost two hens this winter. I don't want to deal with chicks, though. Farm and home have POL pullets in the spring, so I think that's what I'll do.

What?! They have older birds? I want egg layers too but don’t want to raise chicks all over again. I only ever see chicks there, when do they have pullets?

I would raise chicks for y'all. I want to do that again, don't have space for more hens, and am not willing to give up Nutmeg, Coco, Pepper, or Mocha.

They would not be predator aware, though.

They're trying, and yes it's just after Solstice. I'm just impatient.
