Making lemonade out of lemons...
Sorry about the yard, but your duckies look happy.

At least someone got to enjoy it. I spent most of the day digging a trench over to the drainage ditch. Hopefully I can get most of it drained off over next couple days and lay some corrugated pipe down.

Hoping everyone is staying safe, forecast looks shaky 2maro.

Its official, chicken math happened. Picked up my chicks, ordered 4. There was a bit of a mixup as one of my ordered birds "disappeared" and I was offered a different bird (chose a buff orpington for the missing barred rock). Left, was driving home, got a call "found your bird." Drove back and now have 5. 2 BR, 2 RIR & the orp. I think one of the BRs isn't one though, no white dot on the head and I think it has a pea comb. Granted I'm not well versed on the topic, and have been trying to find a good day old chick guide for black chicks showing combs. Townline Hatchery, so maybe an egger? Guess I'll find out when they start to feather out. Coop in in the process of being built, and its 4x8. I figured chicken math would happen, but not withing 15 minutes of pickup. LOL.

Oh it does, because well, chicks are so incredibly cute and it triggers something within us to want more . . . . . . :love

Lets see if I can post a pic. Since I know we all love babies. Here is the chick I went back for.

It is warm enough and overcast enough that my tomato seedlings are having their first day outside. When the storm blew through, I ran out and slid them under the truck until it past.

Outside wind and light is good for them and it lets the peppers get all of the light from the grow lights inside.
