Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

My back aches thinking about that. Get it right though, it pays off in the long run. You using langstroths or top bars? Top bars took so much more time to get level but has to be done to get straight comb.
Langstroths. I bought 2 deeps, 2 mediums (all with frames; a lot with drawn comb), a feeder box, base, smoker, suit, shirt with veil, and other peripherals for $400, used. (No bees.)

I'm getting a nuc from Great Lakes Bee Co. on May 13th. It was going to be on May 6th, but they're holding them back an extra week because of the cold.

My chicks ship from Mt. Healthy on the 14th. Gonna be a busy month!

Fresh baked cookies ready to eat. Come on over! They are so moist/soft that I have to eat it with a fork.

Didn't get notifications about more messages here. Again.
Busy here, DH is back in inpatient rehab after yet another ER adventure! Might be home in a few weeks, I hope. Never dull around here!
Snow this morning, big pretty flakes, melting on the ground. Freezing again tonight, it is still April, for sure.
April 12th chicks are doing well, cute and moving faster every day. Hope to get the coop cleaned out, and move them to their section by Monday. They are going to outgrow their brooder by then.
THe daffodils are wonderful, and the flowering trees! Different every day, love spring.

So what did they do to your arm? Hope you feel better soon.
I think I am a little more coherent now. Meds are wearing off and I had a nice nap this afternoon. So Doc repaired some ligaments in my shoulder. He scraped out some arthritis in the joint and did something else. I can't remember what he said. I'll find out on the follow up visit.

For now I am bound up in a bulky sling that keeps my arm up and out from my torso. Sleeping is awkward. I'll be in this rig until Friday. After that I have no restrictions.

Sounds like a good deal. Enjoy! I love watching mine. Such social creatures. I lost my last hive this winter. My fault, we had a weak fall flow and I failed to feed them enough.
