@chickflick , they hatched April 12th, that's why they are so big! The ones I kept, wheatons, are doing great too, and a couple of them are roosting 4' up in the main coop.

Where in the state are you @CedarLane ?
Smoke map shows it has shifted east a bit.
Seemed clearer today, even saw a spot or two of blue sky,
but when I got on the road and could see much longer distances than from my window it really showed up. It was definitely thicker east of me.

It's gonna really stink(literally) later today when the temps climb and I have to turn on the whole house fan to cool it off in here.

I bought a 16 sq. ft. piece of Merv13 filter material from Amazon, and wrapped it around the air conditioners so air coming inside is adequitly filtered. So they are on today, along with the three room air purifiers running, and new filters comin for them too. So much for energy conservation!
And I'm wearing that N95 face mask outside.
May Canada and everyone here get rain!

I just came in from taking care of the chickens. Giving them fresh water and of course cleaning the coop and run. I got so dizzy I had to come in. Now my chest hurts a little. Ooops. Stayed out too long.
