Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

All the water is amazing! I will try and be thankful we only have a bit of snow. DH has gone down by Lansing for a predator hunting get together. He'll be right in the middle of all the flooding.

Here is a picture of two of my broodies, I have a couple more, but these two always share the box.

I bought the last of the bantams at TSC for a $1 each to put under them tonight, hopefully it works because there is no place in here for them. They are in a tote at the moment.

Standing up for one's rights can have myriad consequences.

Last week I was found guilty of criminal chicken keeping. I now have to report to Probation for a pre-sentence recommendation before the actual sentencing.

Now today, I received two (2) notice to appear tickets for additional charges. Add in another pending case and I have five separate cases in Garden City.

Who painted that big target on my back?

I hope they don't find out that I removed the mattress tag.

So sorry Raz! That is absolutely ridiculous!!! How can it be criminal to keep chickens??? I don't understand . . .

All I keep thinking about this water ...
No wonder why The Great Lakes are low... It's all in these yards!!!! And FWIW, I do not live in a floodplain nor on a river bank.

Kimmie good luck. Sorry but I haven't learned the name of that natural healing stuff yet. I think you must buy it online.

RaZ- sorry to hear about things, unbelievable the way some things are. Seems like there are bigger issues out there in this world.

I think the 1 of the 4 marans chicks (straight run) I bought earlier this month may turn out to be a roo. 1 is clean-legged, 3 have light feathering. The one that I suspect may end up being a cockerel has the start of a comb - much more so than the others. I don't know if that is an indicator or not . . . They are from the same parents so I may end up having to try to swap him out for an unrelated rooster later on . . .
