Here's the Peach Cobbler I use, except what I do is slice fresh into a large glass bowl, with or without peels, then I add some Peach Schnapps + sugar, and then I microwave it for the 1st step. Easy Peasy Lemon Squeezy.

I have been looking through that thread tonight. When you say getting away with just epson soaks do you really mean *just* soaking a few times and trying to get the scabs off?

I meant you might not need to get a blade out to cut into the foot. I'd do what Tap suggests above.
I used Vetericyn instead of the antibiotic cream, only because the site I was using to teach me to treat used it. Just making sure you saw the warning about the "-cane" and "-caine" antibiotic creams. Those ingredients are bad for the birds.

I use both, vetericyn to clean it out good and antibiotic on the gauze I cover it with.

Well alrighty then. I guess I'll have to leave just a little bit early for work to stop by TSC to see if I can find the wrap stuff and vetericyn. Otherwise it's plain old triple antibiotic ointment. And the chicken feet will have to wait until tomorrow since I have to clean out a spot in the bedroom for a dog crate for a new foster maybe coming in tomorrow, and tend to my poor DH who threw his back out last night.

not sure what it was but someone maybe Tap or Fuzzy had a remady for bumble that worked well for them and I don't think they cut, maybe Iodine and triple antibiotic?

I had told David that I didn't think he would be very impressed with party boat fishing. I had tried it 30 years ago, and while I did catch fish I wasn't overly impressed with the experience.
constantly becoming entangled with the main line.

Four hours on the water and our total fish count was 4. One was about 8 inches and the others around 6. If you factor in the price of trip, boat fee, bait, parking, gas, and sundry expenses that perch probably cost $300 per pound.

I constantly remind myself that every day is a gift and we need to cherish every moment we get to spend with those who are important to us. A phone call today from my youngest son emphasized that belief. His best friend's father while riding his motorcycle tried to avoid another biker and dumped his at less than 30 mph. Even though he was wearing a helmet he sustained a head injury that resulted in his being declared brain dead upon arrival at the hospital. This tragedy is just one more reminder of how fleeting life can be.

We have an egg eater over here. What worked best for you to reteach a bird who was enjoying the fruits of her labor too much?

are you sure it is an egg eater? could be a critter getting in and eating the eggs or the shells could be thin and when the hens get in the nest box they break

So I'm out doing chores before the rain comes, when I spotted a tiny white ball in bantam coop, so I was so excited. I crawl in and sure enough there's 12! Buried under the straw. I had no idea they were laying. Just now six months old. Here's the kicker, bout a week ago I set 30 golden sebrights in bat or and I was wishing I had some eggs from my silver sebrights and d' uccles. Little did I know, they stocked up for me!
