Just started my baking so gonna miss the eggsShould i wait 2 wks then after I dust them in 10 days to eat the eggs? I'll also be glad to get bird netting back up in spring, the sparrows are all over in their runs and playing in the straw n eating their food, I'm sure that's how the lice prbly got in there.![]()
Thanks again for all the links and advice of what worked for you.
Thanks. I may just switch to rubber bowls like all my other animals. Nobody else has mentioned what they do? Anyone?I have 3 gallon hanging waterers with built in heaters, but I've found that the easiest to use is the cookie tin/light bulb heather with a metal bowl. I don't advice using it inside a coop so it is outside in the run, and on all but nights with near zero temperatures it has kept the water open.

The grainery store in our town didn't have the bomb, i looked for that 1st, so hopefully the dust works. I went out and turned the straw over today and it kicked it up again, I'm a lil worried w/cold temps if their in there to long, of them breathing it in. Think I will wait 1 day and put all new bedding in and I did put some in their nest boxes also, so I'll change those out tom. I'll just skip the eggs today to be on safe side till I change the bedding. ThanksI 100% agree, spraying a coop down this time of year would be a bad idea, that was why I suggested the bomb. But a leaf blower and powder isn't a bad idea, just make sure you wear a mask and don't breath that stuff in!!
Rubber bowls- I have heated dog bowls and was gonna run electricity out next yr, but hasn't been as bad as i thought going out there. It def means i have to go out and visit them a few times. lol I did wear a snow suit today cuz of the cold.Thanks. I may just switch to rubber bowls like all my other animals.
