Here's 2 links, their fences are much neater than mine, but honestly I'm ok with that as long as it works to hold my ducks inside the melon/pumpkin patch. I don't like the ducks around some of the veggies I grow. Hopefully, yes, the vines will grow on the fence.

As for Surveyors, I think everyone should get one, always good info. I do think surveys can be very costly, Altho I do also think price tends to align with supply & demand. Good luck.

P.S. I recommend Field to Finish in Fenton if that works for anyone. Great people there.

If you were closer I would pelt you with snowballs! We still have at least two feet of the nasty white stuff. I cleaned my coops using a sled today, since the wheelbarrow won't do it. Sinking knee deep with every step. You deserve a snow storm for that.
Please don't say that! I'd be in the path of any storm that hits RaZ!

I live in southwest Michigan and am trying to make a whizbang plucker. The problem I am running into is finding a 14 or 16 inch pulley to use. I was curious if anybody has one laying around that I could pay to have shipped to me or pick up from you if you live close enough. Also any imput or websites where I could locate one cheap with also be appreciated. Thanks everyone.

Have you tried McMaster-Carr or Grainger?

Well, my rooster just attacked me for the second time in as many days. I attributed yesterdays attack to the fact I was chasing down one of the hens and she was in distress (needed to check on her back, which is featherless from mating. Waiting on a saddle in the mail) and he got me good once then settled right down. Tonight I was standing outside watching deer with the girls around me scratching and he came out of nowwhere and hit HARD. I've got a couple scratches and bruises. He kept coming at me so I kicked him good a couple times and he calmed down then I picked him up and carried him around for about 15 minutes. I dont want an aggressive rooster. I liked him so much because he was calm around me but protective of the hens. Should I cull him when we do our butchering later this summer? We should have lots of roos in the brooder right now so I can easily enough have a new one. I just cant be getting attacked when I'm walking around my yard. No idea why hes doing this all of a sudden (hes 9 months).

Raz, you are in serious danger of a public beating.

Picked up some hatching eggs yesterday from jlynnet. Her husband and son were kind enough to show me her birds - what lovely things! I especially loved the HUGE partridge Orpington rooster, and the crele polish were stunning. Thanks again for the eggs - and the extras you threw in (very naughty!)
