The snow is coming down quite heavy in Pontiac. I didn't even bother scraping my truck off. It's very windy too. Poor utility workers can't even get caught up out here!
Snow has been covering the ground out here north of you too. I just hope this doesn't happen again like it did two years ago and totally knock out all the blossoms on my apple trees. Have 5 trees and not one apple! Last year though the chickens enjoyed a bunch of extra ones and the home made cider vinegar fermenting. their feed. But still ran out of the cider vinegar and am having to purchase.
I'll have to fill up the holding bottle and plug the water heater back in tomorrow.
Bet the chickens won't want out later on when daylight comes and they see all the snow!
The little porcelain is still smaller & developing slower than the 2 mille fleur, but that's ok. How does your little porcelain's comb look? I'm not seeing much progress in combs yet, but they're only 3 weeks old. The one old english is feathering nicely. DD named her "Lady". I'm not seeing any cockerel feathers yet, so hopefully we won't have to change the name to "Odie", though the comb is not growing, it has turned to a pink stripe. We'll see. I took some pictures this morning for you. They sure are camera shy. MI, is this too many pictures? I tend to get camera happy... but I can calm it down it y'all prefer less.
