Sorry I can't make the quotes appear as they should. PK, I hope you find a home for your Roo, he's beautiful.

Blackie has been re-homed :weee

I think he is going to be VERY happy....he now has his very own harem! And I am very happy knowing he is at a good home with a great family :D

Peace has been restored here...1 roo, Bigboy, with 11 girls. I am thinking things will be much quieter this year...I swear, with 3 last year, they fed off each other & had crowing contests!

Hope everyone has a wonderful Easter Sunday.

Several years ago, Hope's sons were visiting their father during the Easter school break. As I sat drinking coffee on that Easter morning it dawned on me that there wasn't any Easter candy in the house. After having raised my three sons, and then Hope's two, I couldn't remember a time without candy.

Later, when I went to the door to let my Jack Russell terriers in, I discovered one was holding a small rabbit she had killed. I remarked to Hope that probably was why there wasn't any candy, the JRTs had killed the Easter bunny.

Heavy sigh..... He has a huge pole barn that he works out of already. Filled to the brim so he can now only fit one car in it at a time to work on!!! Maybe some day I'll win the battle

I love the chocolate goatee!!! Beautiful.

Does anyone know of any chocolate hatching eggs/ chicks/ birds that i might buy this year?? I only want a couple. Minis great, too. Still weighing my options on a mate for my mini roo. Otherwise a potential broody/ project down the line. ?????? I have decided to be super picky and stick to my original breeding goal. Temperament is still first- my birds only range when i'm there to guard so i can't have restless ones. Had another close call with the old hawk yesterday. Restless rangers split in all directions but my lap birds let me scoop them up into the coop.

Also does anyone know if starbright farms is still doing orloffs? The only other decent place i've seen is stromberg's. Anyone know their quality? I wanted to hold off a year on orloffs but not if they will become inpossible to find?

Happy Easter!

Beautiful kids Stacykins!

Fuzzy I will have some brown layers. I'll have a couple of BO chicks. They already jump up on my hand when i open the brooder. I may have 1 BCM in about 8 weeks. I got extra chicks this year to insure against losses, roos, and had a little chicken math. :D

Sorry, not brown layers; brown birds! :) chocolate is a pretty rare color in the US and i need it to start my project, now that i have the "right" trio. Greenfire does not have the bantam chocolate orloffs anymore or they aren't available. Chocolate marans though.
