My girls are 10/11 months old. How often do you have to do the de-wormer?

It depends a lot on your environment. If they free range they should be less wormy than if confined, but that doesn't always hold. I worm twice a year. If I have a bird that starts to look unthrifty, I worm that bird again. I don't use the same wormer twice in a row. I don't know how many birds you have, but if possible dosing them individually is more exact and faster.

This can be thought of 'humorous'', but all the I have named after a type of food or drink, have died. Cinnamon, Spice, Mocha, Salt, S'mores, Biscuit, Peanut, Muffin Top, and Olive (includes chickens I have one owned who have died). The ones not included in this are Peck and Tiny.

We just went last night and picked up all our ingredients for goodies. Coal, fudge, buckeyes, cookies, bark. Gonna be a busy weekend!

Yeah, she had mentioned that they were for coyote control. Hence why I waited outside of the fence for Caroline to show up when she was going to show me her yaks. Anytime you need to calculate if you would need to beat that critter to the gate, its a good idea to just avoid contact with said critter, at least until there's somebody else there who can at least dial 911 if you don't make it to the gate.

Just give the chickens some warm cinnamon rolls from the Hilltop! That'll warm 'em up!

Kidding of course. But my chickens here in Escanaba keep themselves warm. The coop is dry and draft free. They've got fluffy feathers, after all. They use them! Trust me, birds can survive just fine in this climate without any supplemental heat, which people seem to itch to provide. Except any sort of heat light is a massive fire risk in a coop.

I only have two chickens now because of downsizing (my Araucana flock went to someone who is seeing to it their genetics do not go to waste). They're Norwegian Jaerhons, and they're great in this weather. Though the ducks are even better, they sleep outside by choice.
