That's pretty much what my "vote" was over on the CS Thread..well, we could always get together for CS, but not bring birds..
I'd give it at least a week....and spend as much time in there as possible, moving slow and talking low.How long should I keep the chickens locked up in the coop for it to become "home" for them? a couple days? They're still pretty skittish being in there. I kinda startled them when I opened up the door today to get them food and water.
Aww bummer, they're gonna be mad about that. Oh well, it'll be good for them long term.I'd give it at least a week....and spend as much time in there as possible, moving slow and talking low.
Quote: No they're not going to 'mad'...be the 'head hen'!
I hear ya, grr..... LolStupid Michigan weather! Was 80 yesterday and a high 46 today and now trying to snow :-(

There is one more set after this one from my Cockerel I no longer have. He actually had a heart attack when his favorite died in my arms and he caught me doing the autopsy to confirm it was the infection from internal egg breakage's. So the next is my last chance to get breeders from his matings. Vet confirmed he had no diseases so was trauma from the experience. Just took him in with my cats appt. Luckily no charge to confirm.... love my vet friend.
