Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

12 out of 33 hatched, at least a couple more pips moving.
But think there may be a stinker in there.
Taking them out of the bator sooner than planned, hope that puppy doesn't explode.

Saw a fox creeping down around the creek towards our outdoor arena today. I hollered at it and it took off running for the woods. sat up the live trap for it to see if Mr. comes creeping around any closer to the barn. Thankfully, my girls are at least about another hundred yards away from the barn and closer to the house, so he would have to be pretty brazen to get to them, or go thru the corn field to get to them.

Also apparently had one of my older hens mess her upper beak up today. Not really sure how or how bad it is yet. My brother sent me a picture, but a photog he is not. will have to get a better look at it tomorrow and see if she's still getting around OK with it.

Big day yesterday! First egg from a 20 week old EE pullet, and two tan eggs from either the SS or Chanty pullets, same age! And this morning, one of the Belgian d'Uccle cockrels tried crowing. Love it! I do have milliefleur cockrels to go... so far six boys and only two girls. Darn! Mary
