Thought "my" hawk had left but just saw it winging it's way to the tree it likes next door. And I have caught it flying over my chicken pen but it can't get in. Grrr..

I have Belgian d'Uccle bantams, millie fleurs. Some adults, some chicks, and way too many cockrels! I'm near Lansing, and can travel a bit. mary

The speckled rooster is very cute! Hope he finds a home soon. We toured Pictured Rocks this summer, and it's beautiful! I'm not sure how long the tour boats are out, and it's possible to kayak there too. Also Seney is great to visit. Mary

My Cooper's hawk was back. He went after one of the blue jays that come to my feeders.

Keep that feeder full and maybe it'll leave your birds alone.

Any time in summer is nice, but bugs are always bad so take your bug spray. Just after labor day is really nice. I also recommend the boat rental. And kayaking up by pictured rocks is amazing.

Good luck rehoming your rooster. I have 3 extra Arkansas Blue cockerels that are going to have to go soon one way or another.

I believe all birds are tested prior to any show regardless. So if you were not trying to certify your entire flock, you can take them to shows and those particular birds will be tested before you take them in to the show pens.

Thanks! Where would I register for showing? I just want to show a couple of my birds.
