Dusting chicken stinks!!!
Venting/ranting/whining/unloading here.
Never done it before....they were not happy, one got away from me and knocked another off the roost(she got back up there tho).
It's HARD to hold bird with one hand on your lap and try to part feathers around the vent with the other.
No one to help...might have to dream up a standing height table with a cradle and/or restraints or something.
One thing I learned tho, it's good to handle your birds a lot when young and occasionally when older,
the only ones that really fought it were the 3 broody raised pullets that had never been handled at all.
10 down(5 last night, 5 tonite) 5 more to go tomorrow night.
OK, I feel a little better, sigh, thanks for listening....I know chicken folks understand.
