Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

West Michigan FTW!!! Where you located exactly? Good to see another W.M resident!

I am in Holland :) I am originally from the Zeeland area.

Me too, though, can't help you mschickenmomma, I don't think my cats will allow any more. They don't like the stray that keeps coming around as it is. I'm from SW Michigan, myself. I'll see if anyone around work would like any outdoor cats.

I would really appreciate that. Thank you.

Bales that sat on the ground can sometimes be contaminated with fungus, which could grow when moist. I can't think it will affect your garden in any way. Remember that the visible mushroom is only a small part of the fungal organism, but they eat only decaying plant material (such as the straw). My whole yard is full of mushrooms, due to the tree roots all over from when the property was cleared.

And spores can float in from where ever and start to grow if they like where they land.

Northside here

West Olive actually!

Great to hear

MORE chicks hatching today in Candy's hatcher! A very few BC Marans, and many olive eggers, sired by my BC Marans. There will be OEs available! Also EEs, Wheaton Marans, bantam EEs, and Belgian d'Uccles. So many chicks, so little space for the winter flock. Mary

so I guess they stay.

Pure Wheaten Marans? Sold! And if my Olive eggers don't hatch I'll take a few of those :) I am not hatching as many eggs this year as I am starting a new job and don't know how busy I'll be so I am not breeding much except a few that I put in the bator before I got the job and my English Orps.
