Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

I could move up there. You do need a stable boy, right?

11 eggs today. That makes 27 over the last 3 days.

I don't think you have to disclose the fact that your neighbors are a********s when you put your property up for sale, But maybe the housing market is still tough there hey?
I didn't disclose my a$$hole neighbors when we sold our house in Davison. Neighbors are further away here. And, they are good people.

Hurray. Egg production has doubled in the past week. From two to four. Seeing green and pink eggs again too finally. Longer days with more daylight seems to mean more to my girls than the light bulb left on in their coop.

Ok I have a random question. I'm looking to change my flock to EEs, and Black Austrolops. My question is once I start expanding must I keep the two separate to not hatch cross breeds EE/Aussie. My guess is that yes I must do this but just trying to figure out how big of a job this is going to be. I currently don't have breeding pens but am guessing this will be a must for pure hatches.

Yes, yes it is.

Unless you just keep only an Aussie cockbird.....then separate the aussie eggs in incubator.
EE's are a cross anyways.

Hello fellow Michiganders, I am in search of people that practice falconry. I know this site is more about poultry and how we as poultry owners dislike hawks but I am really interested in this amazing sport. So does anyone know any one that practices falconry in Michigan? Thanks any responses or suggestions are much appreciated.

Yes I do understand that EEs are a cross breed. I guess my thoughts are they were crossed once and don't really want to cross them again.

There are people who like EEs so for the sake of selling them I'd like to keep them pure to their designed cross, not my own.
