For the last two days, I've been sitting for my "sick" granddaughter, Anika. Son said she had a fever and coughing. I go there and was greeted with that sweet smile of hers. We played games and read books and watched movies. No fever, no coughing. Get a text at midnight, asking if I could babysit again. Fever spiked and is coughing. OK. Go there and was greeted with the sweetest smile. Son said she was up all night coughing. Repeat yesterday. No fever, and no coughing. Even during her 2 hr nap.
Now, today, I spent two hours outside catching up with cleaning chicken coop and rabbit hutch. Fresh water, etc, etc. Lots of shoveling snow. Lots. But, I didn't go hunting for the dog droppings. Too buried.
And the snow keeps on coming. So, will be going out soon to do some more shoveling.
I remember how chatty we use to be, RaZ. We had a lot of fun with the uggos. I sure do miss those days. Got to know folks with our chatter and the best part was meeting them at chickenstock. Miss a lot of folks that have go to the wayside. Mom2emall. Man, she was a blast. Hillbilly Hen, Opa . So many. Too many to name.
Hopefully we can make new friends with all the newbies.....
