Aaaaaand it's snowing. Bleah. Double bleah.

I am not ready for that yet. We are going to our cabin up there next weekend. I'll have to dress warm.

Enjoy that snow; I'm glad it's not here, yet.
Just bought a new freezer, to be delivered Friday. I'm so glad the neighbors have freezer space! Appliances and cars are great when they work, and miserable when they don't!

I hope they show up tomorrow. It was windy here all day and supposed to stay that way with increased gusts tomorrow afternoon. I hope they can get the trusses up. The roof decking I can jerry-rig if I have to.

At least I don't have to worry about trespassers/poachers on days like this. An arrow won't fly true in the wind.

I got the winter weather forecast, one of my neighbors crawled up on the porch and onto an egg basket sitting there to give me the news that we are going to have a long winter

That and a mast year for acorns seem to suggest a rough winter.
I'm glad I pre-paid for my propane.
Still, I need to get busy laying in the firewood.
Especially since I had to start a fir tonight. We have a freeze warning for tonight.

Contractor was a no-show today. That's twice now. I called and left a message.
Granted, it was pretty windy here today and that might not have beeb a good condition to in. But he could have called to let me know.

I've been up and down ladders all day working on sealing up the new coop. It really wasn't that windy.
