It's your fault. You gave me those lavender bantams and I fell in love with the colour. Combine that with orps (my favourite bird) and I'm hooked.

Alright then. My brooder is a 100 gallon water trough. It was outside all winter and frozen to the ground. I have it in the house now and the ice has melted away. (Good reason to mop the floor). It is clean and dry now.
Temperature is up to 93 degrees and ready for those lav chicks tomorrow.

Raz, I have some of the older fashioned aluminum buckets with the flat lids that you could have for the price of shipping - this kind

Husband just got some of these to replace the plastic buckets! We tap our Walnut trees for syrup, and just one Maple tree.
