Michigan Thread - all are welcome!

Glad your power is back, Randy. And that you have information about your current health issue; is surgery scheduled?
It's cooler today, and I love it! I have to finish planting some veggies, refence it off, and do the worst part, weeding!

I don't have a date yet. I think the cardiologist's office has to schedule an appointment with the surgeon. I do go back to see my cardiologist on the 23rd. Hopefully something will be scheduled before then. This pandemic thing has really messed with "elective" surgeries.

Yikes @RaZ !
Don't think a bypass would be considered elective.
I agree. However, because of the pandemic and lock-down situations, my local health care providers are short staffed. I consider myself lucky to get the heart cath. If it wasn't for the ambulance ride to the ER, I probably wouldn't even know that I had a problem.

It was a brisk 44 degrees this morning when I got up, finally up to 60 now so I'll be heading out soon to work on the camper, getting it ready for summer fun I hope.
My excellent broody mama has developed a glitch. She scratches so vigorously to show her babies where to find food that she has sent them flying across the coop several times, cheeping madly the whole time :barnie. So far no one has been hurt, and it's amazing how fast chicks will learn to dodge when they see those big dinosaur legs coming.

Randy do you have someone to help you take care of all your critters while you are laid up? I know how hard it is when you move some place and don't know too many people, but you've been there for a while now
They're young and they bounce well yet. Unlike us old birds who can sleep funny and have their whole day ruined because of that.

There aren't that many year-round residents by me. Only got to know a couple of people and they are older and in worse shape than me. One lady passed away last fall. She was the only one I could really trust. I might be able to cultivate some trust-worthy friends at work. I have no idea if or when I'll have the surgery. I haven't met with the surgeon yet but I have a return visit to the cardiologist on the 23rd.

You ain't no "old bird", Matt. Opa is an old bird. I'm an old bird. A few ladies here are "old hens" but I would never say that out loud.
